DJ Jon Quick's  13th Annual Beauty and the Beat Heroines of Excellence Awards Fundraising Event
 

Founded in 2010 by NYC celebrity DJ Jon Quick of 94.7 The Block and Scratchvision Radio, this awards show/party always has two purposes. 1. to honor women of color who through hard work have become undeniable shooting stars in their respective industries and 2. to raise money for worthy charities/causes. This year's charity will be announced on March 31st, along with the 2023 Class of DJ Jon Quick's Heroines of Excellence Awards honorees. The exact date and location of this year's event will be announced that day as well. 

We have a true who’s who of past honorees that include actress Simone Missick (CBS's "All Rise"), legendary choreographer Leslie "Big Lez" Segar, NYC radio legend Shaila Scott, Beyonce's world renown publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, Black Girls Rock! founder DJ Beverly Bond, movie star, ABC "Mistresses" co-star actress Rochelle Aytes,, international supermodel Maya Haile, Al-Jazeera News anchorwoman Richelle Carey, AOL.com, Renee Neufville from the platinum selling duo "Zhane" and Black Enterprise's Selena Hill to name a few.

 
This year's host will be legendary NYC On-Air Personality Shaila Scott of 94.7 The Block. She herself is a part of the class of 2020 Heroines of Excellence.
